Learn to be a Ninja
Elementals classes are where you’ll learn the techniques and practices to take on the course with confidence. We love movement and we want to teach you, or help you get better at:
Efficiency of Movement
The Ninja Parc is an obstacle course, obstacle course orienteering is quite unique in how you move to achieve the best results. Key areas that must be mastered are: Body Awareness, Momentum, Timing and Technique. These areas can be classified as Efficiency of Movement.
All bodies are created differently and what works for some might not be the most effective for others. In Elementals classes we identify strengths and weaknesses. We find ways to take advantage of individual strengths as well as remedy weaknesses so you can learn to enjoy moving more.
Being able to generate momentum and maintaining that momentum through the obstacle is crucial. In Elemental classes we make this a strong focus as harnessing this makes everything easier.
If your timing is off you’ll miss everything. Bad timing will cause you to work so much harder than you need to which causes fatigue before you can finish the course. You will learn to master timing and practice it until it’s perfect.
Proper technique will make the difference between mastering the obstacles and just getting through. Changes in technique can turn a seemingly impossible obstacle into a simple one. You’ll learn the techniques to get the most immediate results.
During Elemental classes we offer specific warm ups to the obstacles we’ll be practicing. Although most of the class is directed towards specific obstacles you will also learn some floor based, movement focused exercises. This compliments the obstacle training well and results in a well rounded athlete. Exercises include proper landing techniques, quadrupedal movement, balance, stability and mobility.
“Practice is the mother of skill” – The best way to get better at the course is to practice the course regularly. In saying this, whilst you are participating in Elemental classes you’ll be offered ‘homework’ to help you develop skills and attributes faster.
